Getting Ready for a JOYfilled season

We are just about all decorated at our house and starting to enjoy the Christmas season. We had a fun time decorating this year. WE went slower than usual, but I just really wanted to enjoy this time with the kids. They are loving the train this year! My favorite is the the little reading cubby we made below our TV in our random wall cut out area. I figured that the toy box could take a rest for the season and we are loving our cozy spot to read all our Christmas books. We feel blessed this CHristmas season and I am looking forward to treasuring every bit with our little ones!

Breakfast Helper

Lukey loves to make breakfast! The day after we got home from Kansas City he made everyone waffles with butter and syrup. I love my little guy who often reminds me of a mini daddy!

A Kansas City Thanksgiving

We made our first visit to Kansas City, Missouri for Thanksgiving. We stayed with Pake, Oma, and Aunt Lily and were able to visit with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Christy, and Noah. We loved seeing all the sights of the city, jumping in the leaves, and spending time with family. We went to Union Station, the best zoo we have ever been to,visited some local stores and parks, and got to see the Plaza Christmas lights. We also got to visit Samantha'a grave sight for the first time. The kids got her a mini Christmas tree and decorated it. Andrew did a great job setting it up at her sight. Oma made us a delicious Thanksgiving dinner and the boys helped create a Thankful tree. It was fun to have the kids help guess what each of us were thankful for. Thanks so much Pake, Oma, and Peltons for a fun visit!!
