Friday Andrew's class had a special mother's day celebration. Grandma joined us for the party too. We were served desserts by the students and then they sang us "I Think You are Wonderful" (I don't think there was a dry eye in the classroom...it was very cute). After the song they presented us with a special card that had a portrait of their mom and some answers to questions about us. They also painted us a ceramic turtle and made a card. The best part about my card Andrew made was that it said, "Happy Mother's Day, Conserve Water." He copied his Linus t-shirt for the Conserve Water part. The kids were supposed to bring make-up, lotion, or nail polish to give their mom a make over. Andrew was not so much into this activity. He rubbed a little lotion on mine and grandma's hands and then decided that he doesn't really like the feel of lotion. We had a great time watching all the other kids put make-up, do hair, paint nails, and give massages. The boys ended the make-over session a little early so they took some pictures instead. Thanks Andrew for a very special afternoon!!!
