We headed out to Bishops Pumpkin Patch for Lukey's preschool field trip. It was a special day because daddy got to join us. This was his first field trip that he was able to go on for either of the boys, so we loved having him along. Luke's class is extra special this year. Because he goes on Tuesday and Thursday, the number of 4 year olds on those days is way less. There are only 8 kids in his class and two of them are his really good friends and our great family friends as well. Luke, Ryan, and Sarah are just three peas in a pod and love being in class with eachother. When we arrived to the patch it was a beautiful, crisp, fall day. We visited the animals where Luke fell in love with the tiny baby goat. He spent a lot of time petting him and feeding him. We rode the train with his class, went on a hayride to pick some pumpkins, and watched the pig show. After the field trip we all hung out and had a picnic lunch and let the kids play more. It was a great day...we just missed Andrew. I finally feel like activities like this are getting easier. No strollers, bottles, diaper bags full of changes of clothes, or nap times to chase after. If I think back two years ago our pumpkin patch field trip looked very different...it was me with 3 kids, one in an infant seat in the stroller, two toddlers running around, 2 kids (no mentioning names) who had major accidents, and one tired mommy. I told Andy he picked a great time to start joining us on field trips, he probably thinks I'm crazy for saying that I used to be exhausted after them. So, because my babies are getting older we are able to relax and enjoy some things a bit more. It was a wonderful day with Lukey at the pumpkin patch and I felt like we could really give him the attention he needed on his school field trip!
