My grandma is turning 90 on January 4th....she is an amazing lady!! Our whole family made a trip to Seal Beach to celebrate with her. We spent the day at her house playing on the beach (Allie loved her first attempt at playing in the sand), playing a large game of BINGO, eating, and we ended the night by taking a gondola ride through Naples. Grandma decorates her house so beautifully for Christmas and she has a gigantic village that the kids love, especially Luke, he spent a lot of time just hanging out by the village and looking and moving all the people. It was great to have her entire family together..we all love her so much!!
The boys also enjoyed opening some Christmas gifts from grandma and aunt Emmie and they especially loved playing with my cousins Jack & Frank. I wish these boys lived closer to us because they are so good with the kids and the boys love doing stuff with them. Aunt Emmie made Luke a special birthday cake, so we sang to him and he loved the extra attention, as you can tell from the picture. It was also a special treat to have Aunt TT and Uncle Jesse with us. They drove all the way from Tennesee with their 2 dogs. They are in the process of moving out here, so this added to the excitement of the weekend.
We were also grateful for the time we got to spend with some of our dear college friends and their kids. We spent the night at Eddie and Sally's house and it was great to have the kids play together and spend time talking and hanging out...(can you guys move about 400 miles north?) I also got to go with Sally to her Bootcamp at the glorious time of 5 a.m. She runs an amazing business all on her own and I don't know how she does all those early mornings. We ended our trip having lunch and hanging out with 12 of our Biola friends and all our kids. We went from no kids to LOTS of kids very quickly..6 couples, 12 kids...we're almost outnumbered. Somehow we managed to not get any pictures at lunch together..due to chasing all the kiddos around the shopping center.
We then drove home to Sacramento and it took us a long time, but we managed to get home at 11:40 p.m., just in time for New Year's Eve...Andy, me, and Allie were up to give eachother a New Year's kiss and then head off to bed!!!
