It was the perfect timing...Andrew finished school on Thursday and Friday afternoon 6 adults loaded in our Expedition to head south. It was great to get away before summer officially started and relax a bit with friends. Mike, Christina, Sheena, Mark, Andy, and I drove down to Seal Beach and enjoyed a lovely 6 hour drive of conversations, coffee, snacks, music, and relaxing. We got there and walked around Main Street and even made a late night visit to O'Malley's bar (10:30 is late for us). In the morning we woke up and strolled down Main Street for coffee, breakfast, and enjoyed the foggy beach morning. We walked to grandma E's house and visited with her. It was fun for our friends to see grandma E and her house, so they know what we do when we go down there. After lunch we headed down to the beach and the girls took naps on the beach (haven't done that since college) and the boys played in the water. We saw a seal and dolphins, which made the afternoon even better. After a relaxing spa time, we got ready and went to a nice dinner in Huntington Beach. We called it an early night, since we had to be up early for the MUD RUN. It was a fabulous weekend and we are so thankful for grandma and Oma who stayed with our kids and we are so thankful for good friends that we enjoy traveling with.
