Leprechaun Trp Building

This was a BIG deal in our house this year...I mean a BIG DEAL!!! Andrew was given the assignment in his kindergarten class to build a leprechaun trap. He had seen some traps at his friend's house last year, so he was very excited to make one of his own. We called TT and Uncle Jesse in for help. I set up the table with all the green and gold sparkly supplies I could find in the house and then they get to work. Andrew spray painted and came up with some cute ideas. He made a giant playground for the leprechaun and Uncle Jesse helped create a trap out of the shoe box. My favorite part was the giant green curlers for tunnels and the sparkly emery boards for ramps. TT helped with the signs as they tried to trick Mr. Leprechaun who supposedly doesn't obey any signs. The trap stayed in the boys room until they worried too much that a leprechaun might be running in their room, so we moved it to our room until it was time for Andrew to take it to school. They got to share their trap in school and show everyone how it works. Andrew's was a hit in his classroom!!!
