MUD RUN weekend!!

We headed down south for our second year in a row to hang out with friends and run in the World Famous Mud Run!! We stayed in Seal Beach at grams house and enjoyed the beautiful beach and lots of yummy food. Friday night was filled with our trip to O'Malleys on Main Street for snacks and drinks. We then took a walk on the pier and the beach. Saturday we attempted to sleep in and then went to breakfast in the harbor. We spent the afternoon walking down Main Street and relaxing on the beach. We ended the evening in Huntington Beach for a fun dinner. Sunday we were up early and on our way to the Mud Run. Although we didn't all feel as well prepared this year for the run, we were determined to do it. Thanks to Christina and Kari we got many fun pictures of the course. They took many pictures along the way and it is great to have some pictures to look back on of the course. Thanks girls...sorry we didn't stop for pictures with you :) Andy and I ran together this year and I loved having him with me. It was fun to encourage one another and help each other out. We wanted to finish under an hour and we DID!! We got 59:21!!! Mark finished in front of us. After us came Mike and Dan, Sheena, Dan, and then Christina and Kari. We went back to finish with the girls and had a blast playing in the final mud puddle together. After the run we cleaned up and headed back to Seal Beach for showers. It was then back on the road back home! We are so appreciative to my family for watching our kiddos for the weekend. This is the longest time we are away from our kids, and although we miss them a lot, we always love some good adult time wit friends!!
