Luke's First Day of 4 year old Preschool
Lukey had his first day of pre-school today. He is going to school on Tuesday and Thursday. He is in a class with his good buddies Ryan and Sarah and his teacher is wonderful...Mrs. Ralston. Despite the fun decorations, Lukey was still a bit nervous this morning. We knew he would have a great time, so after about 10 minutes of clinging onto us, we had Mrs. Ralston take him. She said he did great and decided to start playing with friends right away. We are looking forward to a great year for Luke. Although we love having him home and he really likes to be home, we know that pre-school is a great place for him. We love you Lukey James!!!

JUDE ANDREW
Saturday, August 28, 2010....Jude Andrew Sherman entered the world!!! It was a very quick delivery and Jenell did awesome. I was very excited to be there to welcome him into the world. On Sunday we took the kids to meet their new cousin. Allie was excited all morning to meet the "baby" She loves saying "baby Jude" Andrew loved looking at him and was very interested. He even went with me to pick out a gift and he wanted to buy him so many things. Luke was hesitant and just liked to look. Despite talking about him all morning Allie just wanted me to put him back in his little crib. She talks about him non stop and colors him multiple pictures everyday. Welcome JUDE!! We can't wait to watch you grow up...we love you so much!!

Driving the BOAT with Grandpa
Last Saturday it was an unusually chilly day...grandpa took the kids and I out on the lake to drive the boat. He has been teaching the kids how to drive. Andrew drives on his own and has a blast cruising around the lake. Luke is close to being able to drive by himself, he just has grandpa help a bit. It was beautiful out and we spent some time cruising the 5 mile an hour zone up the river. Just as we were leaving the lake we got word that Aunt Jenell was heading to the hospital to have baby #4....

She's a COWGIRL.....
Oma Visits
Last week Oma came from Kansas City to visit and help out. Daddy and mommy started back to work, so we were blessed to have Oma here to stay with the kids and help with Andrew. The kids loved staying home and building forts with her. Thank you so much for coming Oma...we loved having you and you were a BIG help to us!!
Happy Birthday Heidi!!!
Andrew's Healing and has LOTS of Visitors
Andrew's leg has been healing and he has had a lot of visitors. We have been blessed with many family and friends stopping by on a daily basis to see Andrew. He is encouraged when he gets to see his buddies. I wish I would have taken a picture with each visitor, but I didn't. His kindergarten teacher Mrs. Hurley was one of the first visitors. She brought him lots of ice cream and even brought Luke and Allie some. His splint became easier to walk with and he would enjoy late evenings with mom in the family room while everyone else was sleeping. He would seem to get his confidence up and try to walk a bit. My heart would be so happy to see him walking around. Even though the splint was only on for a week, he got very good with his crutches. His green bed in the corner of the family room was a life saver. He was able to hang out and be involved with our family and still be resting..thanks grandma for the great bed!!
