Colorado

July 12-13…We LOVED driving through Colorado. It was beautiful going through the Rockies and the boys loved watching the river along side the road all day. The kids have been doing wonderful in the car. We have been doing lots of coloring, our workbooks, reading, and resting. They have been excellent. We arrived in the city of Brighton which is right outside Denver around dinner time. We kept with our tradition and got to our hotel, swam, and I made sandwiches for dinner by the pool. It also was stormy weather. So far on our trip we have had thunder and lightning in every city. We are chasing the storm up the United States. Our night in Denver we experienced the biggest storm yet. There was a severe weather alert and huge thunder and lightning. The kids got a bit scared so we snuggled up and attempted to fall asleep. We did our normal morning routine, got on the road, and stopped at Wallmart for some new colored pencils and highlighters (Oh the simple things my kids enjoy!!). We are headed for Nebraska !!



Our poor car is getting pounded with crazy weather!!
