Luke's 1st Pre-School Performance

On Wednesday Luke had a Christmas Performance at pre-school. He has been excited about the songs, especially the cowboy song. He didn't really like to sing them at home, but he always talked about them. Well...Wednesday morning came, we got all dressed up, Luke picked out a dress for Allie to wear, we got seats, I dropped Luke off at his classroom, we waved as we saw him walk in the sanctuary ringing his bells, he walked up on stage, and then.......as he turned and looked out at the audience, he lost it. Tears, a look of panic, and teachers helping him off the risers...what do we do? Should I go get him? Should I let the teachers handle it? I tried to stay calm and thought I would leave it in the hands of the teachers. They hugged him and brought him toward the back of the risers. He stood with his teacher Mrs. Foss the whole time with his fingers in his mouth. We were so proud of him for staying up there though. His teacher asked if he wanted to come down and he said no. I think he would have been sad with himself if he wouldn't have stayed up there. When we went to pick him up at his classroom, he just wanted to hug daddy and lay on his shoulder. After we got in the car and talked about the special lunch we were going to, his little face cheered up. We had a yummy McDonalds lunch and haven't talked a lot about the show since. Can't wait until next year's Christmas performance!!!

this isn't clear, but you can see him in the middle with his teacher just trying to hold it together...precious boy
