The Royal Christmas Party

All the neighborhood kids like to exchange gifts with each other, so this year I thought that instead of gifts it would be fun to have a party. We had a "fancy" party!!! The kids all dressed up, we used china plates, had candles, and tried to use very fancy and proper manners. We left all the little one year olds out of the party this year, which made it much easier to have fancy things for the big kids. All the moms made something for dinner (all kid friendly food...of course) and we served the kids at the giant table we set up in the living room. All the kids brought a game wrapped up for a gift exchange, we sang carols, played with toys, colored a huge poster for Santa, and made reindeer food. Later on in the evening Santa (aka Uncle Paul) made a visit to the Royal children. He brought them princess crowns and reindeer ears. The kids ended the night with cupcakes and hot coco. It was a very fun night and the kids had a great time. I set up a picture station where they could take pictures with their friends. Of course my boys enjoyed posing...as you can tell. We love our neighborhood and we feel so blessed to live in such a great community.
